Sustainability Roundtable 5/16

Sustainability Committee Meeting 5/16

Please Join our Association Chairman Tim Tremain and the VIA Staff at our very first Sustainability Roundtable.

"We think Sustainability is a business driver, just like any other business driver. It helps us reduce our costs, increase our revenue, enhance our brand, and increase our profit."

Quoted from "Building a culture for Sustainability - People, Planet, and Profits in a New Green Economy"

Practical Sustainability is about implementing readily available technologies and practices to both save our companies money (real world ROI) as well as save resources for future generations. Whether you are just trying to figure out how to get started, or you’re a seasoned veteran of sustainable practices, join us!

Our goal is to bring together enough interested parties to start a regular group to both learn about and share best practices in sustainable technology.  Potential topics could include ISO14001, solar energy incentives, wind energy options, implementing recycling programs, VOC reduction options, reducing carbon emissions, LEED building, reduction of water use and much more.  Our hosts at Penrose Brewery will also share their sustainable practices, plus the first beer is on us!

At this meeting we will work on the vision for this committee and the involvement of the VIA. We need your input.

Registration required. Attendance is open to Members and Partners to the Valley Industrial Association.
